About Teen Politics

Written by young people for young people, Teen Politics hopes to break down complex political and legal issues with accessible, insightful analysis. Our core mission is to help ensure that children and young people – often overlooked by decision-makers – become increasingly politically informed, actively engaged, and truly empowered to make their voices heard and their interests taken seriously.

Committed to representing international politics, Teen Politics focuses on building education and solidarity in the struggles that matter most to the next generation. So, whether you already follow the news or you are entirely new to politics, this blog exists to inform you, spark thoughtful discussion, and inspire real youth participation in the political world that shapes our futures.

George

In June 2020, having grown up in the UK witnessing the political scapegoating of young people and the simultaneous disregard for our futures through austerity and Brexit, George started Teen Politics. Through this, he hopes to increase young people’s political engagement, empowering them to ensure their opinions and interests are seriously considered by decision-makers.

Beyond the blog, George has significant experience representing youth voice, including volunteering with Amnesty International UK. He is currently studying the International Baccalaureate, with French, Global Politics, and History at higher level. All views expressed are his own.

Eleni

Eleni joined Teen Politics to help teens comprehend the tumultuous happenings of the current world and broaden their perspectives. She is particularly interested in making political issues accessible, relevant, and engaging for youth audiences.

Beyond the blog, Eleni is a classical pianist, studying at a pre-college conservatory in NYC. She is currently a high school junior with interests in literature, history, and writing. All views expressed are their own.
